A Life Lived
in Colour

My relationship with art began the way most true relationships do — quietly, without announcement. As a child growing up surrounded by India's living artistic traditions, I was drawn instinctively to colour, form, and the stories that hands could tell on surfaces.

"I did not choose art. Art chose me — and it asked me to share it."

After years of dedicated practice across multiple art forms — from the intricate miniatures of the Rajasthani school to the bold, democratic lines of Warli — I founded Kalatithya, which means the pilgrimage of art. The name felt true: art is not a destination, it is a continuous journey of seeing, learning, and offering.

At Kalatithya, I work with canvas painting, chalk art, miniatures, embroidery, wall painting, Warli painting, jewellery making, and more. Each art form holds its own wisdom, its own pace, its own relationship with the maker and the viewer.

Beyond creating, I teach — because I believe art is not a privilege of the gifted few, but a language available to every human being who is willing to be still and curious. Our workshops are spaces of genuine joy, open to absolute beginners and seasoned artists alike.

Our Values

🪷
Authenticity

Every art form we practice is honoured in its truest expression. We do not simplify or dilute tradition — we approach it with reverence and rigour.

🤲
Devotion

Art made without love is merely decoration. At Kalatithya, each work is created with full intention and a quiet devotion to the process itself.

🌱
Accessibility

We believe art belongs to everyone. Our workshops welcome all — regardless of age, background, or prior experience — into the joy of creating.

🏛️
Heritage

India's artistic traditions are among humanity's greatest treasures. We exist to preserve, practise, and pass them on with care and pride.

Excellence

From the first sketch to the final detail, we do not rush. Quality is not a feature — it is the foundation of everything Kalatithya creates.

🤝
Community

Art thrives in community. We seek to build a warm circle of patrons, learners, and fellow artists who share a love for India's creative spirit.

A Journey
Through Time

Kalatithya did not begin in a day. It grew slowly, the way all meaningful things do — one brushstroke, one workshop, one patron at a time.

Our Mission

We exist not simply to create beautiful things, but to keep alive the ancient conversations that art has always held — between maker and material, between tradition and the present moment.
